Avoid Cable and Conversion Loss
Using an X-to-cable (X2C) adapter setup introduces extra conversion losses along the signal path. The Mimosa radio converts the electrical signal into RF energy, which the X2C adapter then converts back into an electrical signal for transmission over coaxial cable. The coaxial cable itself introduces additional loss, and a second X2C adapter at the antenna reconverts the signal to RF energy. Each of these conversion steps adds loss on top of the coaxial transmission loss, reducing overall link efficiency.
